VS-Dir FFA webmaster information - Customizing Individual FFA Topic Pages
An e information article
..............................................................................................................
Just as in any regular page within your Skeleton script, you can customize and add SEO elements into your individual FFA Topic Pages. To do this, go to List Head. In List Head you will find a list of all your FFA Topic Pages. Each Topic is identified by a LHID#. Fourth column is Filename Customization. On the specific page you wish to customize, Click on the 'Click here' icon. This takes you to the Form you use to Customize your page. You can add in a Title, Keywords, and Description for that specific page as well as add in Edge Block Elements and other search engine elements called otherheaders.

Title:
Insert a Title for your page in this form. Once you have created or modified this Entry, save. You cannot save multiple entries at the same time.

Tips for Titles: Use keywords in your title. Limit your title to 80 characters or less.

Kwds:
Insert keywords for your page in this form. Once you have created or modified this Entry, save. You cannot save multiple entries at the same time.

Tips for keywords: only use relevant keywords in this section and avoid using a keyword in a phrase more than 5 times. Recommended you limit the number of keywords to no more than 20.

Descr:
Insert the Description for your page in this form. Once you have created or modified this Entry, save. You cannot save multiple entries at the same time.

Tips for Description: Use relevant keywords and limit your description to under 200 characters.

Otherheaders and Edge Blocks:
Flex fields are used to insert items like otherheaders and Edge Blocks. Otherheaders are seo items, like instructions on how often a Search Engine Bot is to visit you. Edge Blocks can be System Edge Elements - like a bank of Text Ads or Mini Banners, as well as  custom created elements. Insert sytem created, custom created, and otherheaders elements on individual pages by using the Flex Field forms.

New flex field name:
The name for the flex field for this page.

New flex field value:
The information for that flex value.

Examples:
Adding Right and Left Edges:
You are adding a Right Edge to display Ads. Flex field name is redge. Flex field value is 100. This means 100 pixels for the width of the Right Edge. A Left Edge would be ledge with whatever width you want for that Edge. Once you have defined an Edge, you can then ad Edge Block Elements to display on the page iteself.

Adding System and Custom Edge Elements:
Once you have defined your Edge, you can then add Elements to that Edge. Elements can be System Created, like a Row of Vertical Text Ads, or a Custom Edge Element you create in Edge Blocks.  Example: you are adding Elements to display on the Left Edge of your Topic Page. Use the flex field forms to create the place for those Elements. Field name is ledge.  Field value is the system number for a Vertical Text Ad Block, or a group of elements. Seperate each element by a colon mark (:)  Example: C004:C015:C016:C007:A241

Find other System Edge Elements in Core Controls, Custom Layouts.
Create Custom Elements in Core Controls, Edge Blocks.

Add otherheaders:
Otherheaders are used to place SEO information and meta tags directly into your source code. Common seo elements are instructions to the Search Engine Bots, content instructions, even search engine verification codes. The flex field name will always be otherheaders and a unique number. Examples: otherheaders1, otherheaders2, otherheaders3, etc.

An otherheader example:

Otherheaders1
<meta name=’revisit-after’ content=’14 days’>
