An e information article
..............................................................................................................
Creating and managing Price Records for your VS-Dir FFA Entries and Ads is done under All Pricing in Core Controls. There is one Form used to create any type of Price Record, whether it be for an FFA ad, a membership upgrade, credits, and etc. This Help Topic covers creating and managing Price Records specifically for Paid FFA Entries or FFA Ads.
Terms:
Paid FFA Entry: a link plus content. Paid Entries ONLY go on FFA Topic Pages you designated Paid Entry Only. Some webmasters also use this as a means of allowing urls to be placed in Multiple Topic Pages. FFA Entries are governed by the sort and duration you determined when setting up the FFA Topic Page.
FFA Ad: an FFA Ad. Ads have different sort and display criteria and duration from FFA Entries. Duration is set in the Price Record. Sort and display for Ads is determined on each individual Topic Page.
Creating a new Price Record for an FFA Ad or Entry:
Go to All Pricing in Core Controls.
Find To add a new item for pricing click here
This brings up the Form to create a new Price Record.
Item Number:
A unique number used to identify this record. Example: h90ffad
Name of Item:
A unique short name for this item. Example: 90 day ffa ad
Price:
Enter in a number only. No symbals like $, etc.
Class:
In the Drop Down Box you will have three (3) Classes to choose from applicable to the FFA: FFA Ad, FFA Entry, FFA Image.
Sub Class:
This is a unique number you assign to Price Records, and is used to sort entries. Example: you have a Price Record for a 1-Month FFA Entry, a 3-Month FFA Entry, a 6-Month Entry, a 12-Month Entry, and a Life-Time Entry. Each one needs a unique number. Your Sub Class would then be 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
Commission:
Check if you award commissions to the sponsor.
Quantity:
In the case of FFA Entries and Ads, quantity determines the actual length - in days - for the item. If you have a 1-Month Entry or Ad, you will insert 30 days into the Form Box. 60 for 2-Month entries, 180 for 6-month entries, and etc.
Hidden:
When checked, this hides the Price Record from potential buyers and members.
Multi-Month:
Not applicable, so leave blank.
Extra Text:
Used to add more description and content to the Price Record. Html is acceptable and an onboard wysiswyg editor is supplied for your use.
Save
Once saved, you have created a Price Record for an FFA Ad or an FFA Paid Entry. When buyers purchase either item, they receive a Special Code. That Code is used in the last Form Box on an Ad or FFA Entry, and is what allows the user to enter in Paid Entries or Ads themselves on a Topic Page.
