About VS-Dir - the script and the services:
VS-Dir is a script that provides link directory service and FFA links service. Webmasters can link their VS-Dir into the Realm-12 search engine. The VS-Dir script can be added on as a module to any TrEx script, or set up as a stand alone venue. VS-Dir is currently in Alpha Launch as of 02-2010.
Phase One of the Link Directory is a free listing service. It is similar in concept to an ffa, with some major differences:
- Some services will require membership in order to post ads. All VS-Dir will require an actual, working email.
- Admin is the ONLY person who ever sends you an email relative to the Directory. Email is sent to advise you if your site has been accepted or rejected, and when it expires. (So you can re-post if desired.)
- FFA Entries do not roll off quickly. While not permanent - as in forever - they will stay on each List Page for longer periods of time then the typical FFA page (which can be less than 24 hours in many cases.)
- Entries have more room for description than a standard FFA listing. As Content is King in the search engines, most of the VS-Dir FFA Pages give you ample room for relevant content which will help in the search engines.
- Many of the VS-Dir FFA pages allow you to enter in Keywords in a seperate text box.
- All Ads are reviewed by Admin. There are no Blind, robots, or autoposts allowed.
In March 2010, a full-scale Permanent Link Directory Service with Search Boxes is planned to be added to the Free Listing Service. Members who post to the Permanent Link Directory will have the option to post the same ad and link to multiple catagories, as well as the Free Listing Directory. The Honeyhitz traffic exchange directory is tied into Realm-12, which is a search engine agent which connects other VS-Directories into one large network: similar to what the VS-Ten traffic exchange list network does for traffic exchanges. As Search Boxes become available, people at one directory will be able to search by topic to find matches from the directory they are searching from, as well as get matches from other directories in the Network.
The VS-Dir link directory and ffa links script itself is fully seo configured, making it easy for the webmaster to optimize the services for the major search engines. VS-Dir is available as a stand alone script, or as an add-on module for existing TrEx scripts.
